CHAMBER NEWS

2026 State of the County

With 250 attendees filling the room, the 2026 State of the County Address was a powerful reminder of the commitment our business community has to the future of Kankakee County. When leaders, businesses, and residents show up like that, it speaks volumes.

Thank you to all of our sponsors, speakers and attendees who made this event possible!

We are excited to announce our partnership with The Daily Journal  for the publication of the 2026 Community Guide! This is your opportunity to showcase your business to members, residents, visitors, and more.

The Guide will feature valuable information, resources, and updates about Kankakee County, along with a complete listing of all active Chamber members.  As a Chamber member, you can share your advertising message in a print publication that offers excellent visibility and a long shelf life. In addition, the Guide will be distributed via email to Kankakee County residents and businesses for even greater reach.

Applications are now open for the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce 2027 Board of Directors!

MEMBER RESOURCES

Natural Disaster Help & Resources

We know many people have been impacted by the recent storms in Kankakee County, and may need support during this time. To help, we have created a Natural Disaster Help & Resources page on our website. This page serves as a place to find helpful information and resources for those affected. Visit www.kankakeecountychamber.com, click on "Resources" then Disaster Relief.

Please continue to check back as we update the page with additional resources as they become available. Our thoughts are with everyone in our community.

What's on Your Community Bucket List?

Lowe’s is inviting communities nationwide to nominate impactful renovation projects that strengthen local resources and public spaces. Nominations are open through March 20. UPCOMING EVENTS

Our Women in Networking Committee is proud to give back to the community. At each WIN Luncheon, we collect items for a Chamber member who is making a difference in our community. For our April luncheon, we are excited to partner with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to help ensure every child in our community has a safe and comfortable place to sleep.

Please consider supporting this effort by donating a NEW, in-package twin comforter. You can bring your donation to the WIN Luncheon on April 16, or schedule an appointment to drop off your items. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of local children.
