We want to share their stories and celebrate their successes. Even more\, we envision that bringing these individuals together will help create a powerful network of young leaders from all sectors and areas of Kankakee County. We expect these people will leverage these connections to make even more great contributions to the region's economy and civic dialogue.\n\n \n\nThis is a pivotal time in Kankakee County. Our future as a community will depend on a new generation of leaders that will point our community in a positive direction.\n\n \n\nKankakee County "40 Under Forty" has three simple goals:\n\n Recognize Achievement Young leaders in Kankakee County are not simply "waiting their turn." We want to honor successes and encourage others to follow the lead of our honorees.\n Encourage Leadership- Being a "40 Under Forty" honoree is just the beginning. This is also a challenge to do more.\n Make an Impact Each year the "40 Under Forty" class will have an opportunity collectively to make their presence felt in the community. \n\n \n\nWho is eligible? Anyone working in Kankakee County who is 39 or younger as of December 31\, 2020 and has not previously received this honor.\n\n \n\nWhat are the criteria? We look for a cross-section of people from a wide range of fields who are proven leaders in their field and show potential for still greater leadership.\n\n \n\nHow do I nominate someone? Simply complete the attached nomination form and return by September 4\, 2020.
