In addition to the free movie\, Gleaner will be giving away fun prizes to celebrate the holiday season. Gleaner Life Insurance Society will be represented by the local Kankakee Arbor #324 chapter\, based in Kankakee\, IL. \n\n	 \n\n	"A Christmas Story" follows nine-year-old Ralphie Parker\, a young boy growing up in the forties who dreams of owning a Red Rider BB gun. He sets out to convince the world this is the perfect gift. But along the way\, he runs into opposition from his parents\, his teacher and even good 'ol Santa Claus himself! A true slice of a young boy's story about growing up during this era in the Midwest\, "A Christmas Story" comes to life at the Meadowview Theatre for this special Christmas event! \n\n	 \n\n	Classic Cinemas\, based in Downers Grove\, Illinois\, is a family-owned company operated by Willis\, Shirley and Chris Johnson. Established in 1978\, Classic Cinemas operates 13 theatres with 100 screens in the northern Illinois area. Each auditorium is equipped with state-of-the-art digital projection and sound technology.
