Kankakee Public Library\, along with Amazing Fantasy Books and Comics\, is proud to introduce the Kankakee Fantasy Con\, its own convention for lovers of comics\, sci-fi and all things fantastic.\n\n\n\nThe first-ever Kankakee Fantasy Con features comic book artists\, authors and aficionados\, as well as paranormal investigators\, comic book vendors and gaming experts. Meet the artists\, listen to lectures by the finest minds in the field\, play games and take part in one of the biggest events of the summer!\n\n\n\nJoin us throughout the day for speakers\, presentations\, vendors\, gaming\, freebies\, raffles\, and more. Over 30 comic book artists will be present including Gene Ha\, Don Kramer\, and Josh Elder. Paranormal guests will include Ron Fabiani from A&E's Paranormal Cops\, author Mike Kleen\, and representatives from local paranormal societies. Chicago Jedi will do a lightsaber demonstration\, and panels and discussions with comic book creators will be ongoing throughout the day. Shop from our vendors including Amazing Fantasy\, Dragon's Refuge\, Gamezilla\, Moonstone Books\, Be My Full Moon\, and more. Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard will present live from the U.K. via Skype\, and his autographed books will be raffled.\n\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the public.
