DESCRIPTION:The Wheel-a-thon/Walk-a-thon is a fundraising & community awareness event where people with & without a disability will navigate a 2 mile course either as a 4 person team in a wheelchair or as an individual walking! The event is held at beautiful Perry Farm in Bourbonnais Illinois. There is also a health awareness area with exhibit booths\, a wheelchair decorating contest\, a post party awards ceremony where prizes are awarded to the top fundraisers. This is Options Center for Independent Livings biggest fundraiser of the year. 100% of the net proceeds from this event stays in the community to provide funding for disability services provided by Options CIL to local residents of Kankakee County.
