About Us

I have been married over 41 years to my best friend Mary, proud father of 6 and grandfather of 5. I am also a past Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 324 in Bourbonnais and very proud father of an Eagle Scout. I am the director of Project Re:Cycle bicycle charity.

Since I started SLS Home Inspections as a Kankakee area home inspector in 2007, I have used my 30+ years of lumber, contractor, & wholesale building materials sales & service experience to help home buyers understand the issues and explain the concerns of their new home. A real estate Home Inspection is an important part of any home sale. I provide every client with same day delivery of a detailed narrative style inspection report (never a checklist style) with an easy to read summary page including digital photos. Every client also receives a free copy of “Now That You've had a Home Inspection,” a 96 page guide to preserving the value of your home.

I will be your building consultant for life. If your first deal falls through for any reason, there is a $50 discount for a second inspection of a different home within 45 days after first inspection with the same agent.
