Providing care to our community since 1982, Hospice of Kankakee Valley is the only local, not-for-profit hospice in this area. With over 70 staff and 100+ volunteers, we provide full service care in our palliative and hospice programs. Just added, is Transitions, a service to put volunteers and resource management in place for our clients coping with serious illness. ''The mission of Hospice of Kankakee Valley is to provide compassionate physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to individuals throughout our service area who are living with terminal illnesses. We strive to provide comprehensive palliative care, regardless of ability to pay, in a manner that maintains the dignity and independence of the person and family.''
