Tim Nugent President / CEO, Economic Alliance of Kankakee County Tim Nugent has more than 25 years of experience in business, real estate and community development. He is a life-long resident of Manteno, Illinois – where he has served as mayor for 17 years, a role he retains as the Alliance President/CEO. Mr. Nugent has been instrumental in attracting and growing Kankakee County through the development of workforce and building incentives, community collaboration, and partnerships with federal, state and local partners. He currently serves on various boards including the local Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Kankakee County Enterprise Zone, Kankakee County Convention and Visitors Bureau, as well as the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board, among others. Tim is the former owner of Manteno Lumber & True Value Inc. and has led numerous residential real estate development projects. Mayor Nugent also served as a police officer in Kankakee County for 20 years, 12 years as a Deputy Sheriff and 8 years as the Chief of Police for the City of Kankakee. Mr. Nugent holds a Bachelor Degree from Governors State. He is married to his wife Yvette and has 2 grown children, Casey Meier, a Manteno High School Art teacher and Mitchell, a Special Education teacher at Naperville North High School. La Donna Russell Executive Director Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board Ladonna has over 20 years’ experience in workforce development. She started in 2000 working in workforce services at Kankakee Community College. In 2004, she transferred positions and went to work for the Workforce Board and was eventually promoted to Executive Director. As Executive Director, she was responsible for overseeing a $2 million dollar workforce services budget, planning, labor market analysis, budget & federal performance outcomes for three counties.
