Kankakee County Soldiers Basketball ~ Business After Hours

The Kankakee County Soldiers Professional Basketball team will open their 2010-11 Season with a splash on Veterans? Day, Thursday, November 11th with a fitting tribute to local veterans. All local veterans, both past and currently serving in our military, will be honored with free admission to the game. The Soldiers will be collecting items to be sent to our troops, in conjunction with Mom?s Cookies, a public charity in support of our service members overseas. Any of the following items will be accepted from the public for admission into the game: granola bars, handy wipes, or white tube socks. The Soldiers will also accept an unwrapped toy as admission into the game on behalf of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. The event will begin with a joint Business After Hours at Hidden Cove Sportsplex, with the Bradley-Bourbonnais, Kankakee, and Kankakee Regional Chambers of Commerce prior to the basketball game from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The Soldiers game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm. Mama?s Cookies and the Toys for Tots Foundation will each have a booth for meeting the public at Hidden Cove Sportsplex prior to the game.
