St. Patrick's Day Salute to 3 Governors

St Patrick's Day Salute to 3 Governors, March 19, 2016 at the Civic Auditorium in Kankakee, 5pm dinner, entertainment and silent auction. Wine beer and soft drinks included, Monies raised will go towards "Tribute for the 3 Governors" $50 per person and tickets can be purchased at Kankakee Valley Park Dist (Bird Park), Speckman Realty or by calling Dondi 815-715-8405. GFWC-IL Woman?s Club of Kankakee has initiated a project to honor our former Governors, three of which are from the City of Kankakee; Len Small, Samuel H. Shapiro and George H. Ryan . Our goal is to bring people to our community to see a one-of-a-kind tribute in the State of Illinois if not the country. In partnership with the Kankakee Valley Park District, we are planning life size bronze statues of each governor to be placed at KVPD's Bird's Park District, (Corner of Wall and Court St.), one of the busiest intersections in the county. Lambert Monument has been secured to design and build the statues.
