Help the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce identify the young leaders who deserve to become part of the 2020 class of the Kankakee County 40 Under Forty honorees.
 
The “40 Under Forty” program was started to identity people under the age of 40 who are center stage in our community, working hard to drive the economy and demonstrating dynamic leadership.  We want to share their stories and celebrate their successes.  Even more, we envision that bringing these individuals together will help create a powerful network of young leaders from all sectors and areas of Kankakee County.  We expect these people will leverage these connections to make even more great contributions to the region’s economy and civic dialogue.
 
This is a pivotal time in Kankakee County.  Our future as a community will depend on a new generation of leaders that will point our community in a positive direction.
 
Kankakee County “40 Under Forty” has three simple goals:

1. Recognize Achievement– Young leaders in Kankakee County are not simply “waiting their turn.”  We want to honor successes and encourage others to follow the lead of our honorees.
2. Encourage Leadership- Being a “40 Under Forty” honoree is just the beginning.  This is also a challenge to do more.
3. Make an Impact– Each year the “40 Under Forty” class will have an opportunity collectively to make their presence felt in the community. 

 
Who is eligible?  Anyone working in Kankakee County who is 39 or younger as of December 31, 2020 and has not previously received this honor.
 
What are the criteria?  We look for a cross-section of people from a wide range of fields who are proven leaders in their field and show potential for still greater leadership.
 
How do I nominate someone?  Simply complete the attached nomination form and return by September 4, 2020.  Forms are also available on the Chamber’s website: www.kankakeecountychamber.com/events/40under40
 
The 2020 honorees will be celebrated in a polished magazine publication that will be used to enhance the market profile of Kankakee County. There will also be a reception hosted by the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce and the Kankakee County Young Professionals.
