Susan Fox, R.N., speaks at Olivet about her book, Little Women of Baghlan Thursday, September 18, 2014 7 p.m. At Olivet Nazarene University in the auditorium of Wisner Hall of Nursing Hosted by Olivet?s Kappa Sigma Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing All invited and welcome to attend No admission charge; all attendees asked to bring women?s scarves and hats as donations. The items will go to ?A Pretty Hat for Her,? a supportive effort for women battling breast cancer. Susan Fox works at Presence St. Mary?s Hospital in Kankakee and lives in Momence. Her book is the true account of how Joanne (Carter) Bowling answered the call to serve others. Drawing from Bowling?s journal and recordings, Fox documents the many adventures ? against the backdrop of world challenges and changes ? that took Bowling first to Afghanistan with the Peace Corps in 1968.
